Crime TV & Real Life Juries - Unrealistic Expectations?
A recent story on Connecticut's theday.com discusses the effects that crime television has on real life juries.

As quoted: “We're finding out, and it's being proved, that jurors are so influenced by the "CSI" stuff, they almost expect it,” Judge Kevin P. McMahon told a pool of potential jurors in the murder trial of Michael “Miz” Smith."

The judge was referring to the so-called “CSI” Effect and its influence on the criminal justice system. Some in the legal community fear jurors will have unrealistic expectations and will make decisions based on their TV knowledge.

Who Doesn't Want to be "Like Mike"??
Unbelievable! A man in Portland, Oregon recently filed an $832-million lawsuit against Michael Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight, claiming that his life had been subjected to harassment, discomfort, unpleasant feelings and permanent injury because, according to Ray Heckard's suit, he resembles the basketball icon.
