Don't Miss Jeffrey Kamys Moderating a Discussion Panel Today
The 8th Annual LMA Bay Area Tech Program is today, September 14, 2006. You do NOT want to miss the afternoon breakout session entitled "20 Questions - What's Next with Electronic Marketing and the Web?" With an audience response system donated by Turning Technologies and some really kick a$$ discussion topics, even the most senior law firm marketing personnel will walk away a lot more knowledgeable.

I'll post a follow-up after the show. Oh, and don't forget: Your Web Site Needs MORE COWBELL!

I'm Tellin' You - Technology Wins Recruits
Okay, I've said this to several of our firms and prospects but no one has done it yet... Put podcasts in your recruiting section so your firm's attorneys can "talk" directly to your recruits! What do recruits want to know about your firm that you can tell them in a quick, verbal message? What's it like to be a woman attorney? Will I get "mommy-tracked"? Do I get to have a life outside of the office?

The law firm Goulston Storrs recently added podcasts to their Web site that range from 40 seconds to 2 minutes 12 seconds. These quick messages tell recruits what they want to know, and they're so easy for the firm to develop.

The word "podcast" is huge right now, and your firm is going to find itself behind its competitors if you don't jump on board soon. Goulston Storrs was even written up in a recent Business Wire post.

Wouldn't you like to see your firm get noticed like this? Trust me, you will stand apart from your competitors if you add podcasts; in addition, the attorneys at your firm will love to be part of this medium!

Lawyer Jokes Go Electronic!
Sounds like fun! The Billable Hour Company has an online card store where your firm's attorneys can send humorous cards to each other, family, clients, etc. The process is simple -- select a card, choose to add a personal message, photo and/or signature, and then send. And all for just $2.99, with discounts offered for bulk purchases...

The process is so simple, even a lawyer could manage it. Oh, wait - it does require knowledge of the Internet. Maybe the secretary should be called in to help ;-)
